A short horror story about parlours, pretences, and parasites. I originally made this for a game jam but have since gone back and fleshed it out.

this is beautiful. the smeared dotting of the portraits, the atmosphere created by colors and hushed whispers and the tapping of footsteps, pretty language that covers misogyny, echoing hopes of liberation. you managed to create a world so comfortable yet not understood, images in earthy and decaying colors to mask the true horrors of parasites. if i looked an eldritch being in the eyes, i would not be able to comprehend the horrors in front of me, and i'd decay to ash. the ending replicated this well.
